Student Identity Verification Policy

Student Identity Verification Policy

As of 1 May 2010, all applicants must provide a copy of a valid government identification document containing at a minimum the applicant’s picture, full name, date of birth, and address.  Acceptable documents that can be used are the applicant’s passport, driver’s licenses, and identification cards. The applicant will also be required to provide an electronic copy of a passport style picture (face and shoulders).  Apollos will upload a PDF version of the government identification document along with a copy of the picture into the student’s profile in both ATLAS and Moodle.  Once accepted, the student will be required to present a valid government identification document with the same information as on the copy described above during proctored examinations to ensure student identity.  Identification cards are presented by the student as part of the remote proctoring login processes and the identity of the student is verified through the remote proctoring report.  In the event that the student is completing an exam in the presence of a physical proctor, the proctor will verify the student identity.  If the information does not match, then the student will not be allowed to take the proctored exam.  This process will be followed for all proctored exams.
